INSIDE OUT BOOK TAG

Hello friends! It's Tuesday, that means, TAG TUESDAY!
I wasn't tagged by anyone but I'm doing it anyway.
Here's a dancing cat to celebrate. (I don't know what for but i don't care)

I

inside flap/ back of the book summaries: Too much info? or not enough?

There are books that give away too much. Some books are better off without summaries because it's better to dive into them blind. Some need more info. So it depends on the book.

N

new book: what form do you want it in? Be honest: Audio book, e-book, paperback or hardcover

Honestly, I'd love it in Hardcover BUT I don't have enough money to buy it in that form. All of my books are in paperback, I just hate it when the cover gets dog eared in my bag.

scribble while you read? Do you like to write in your books, taking notes? making comments? or do you keep your books clean clean clean? (Tell us why)

NOPE. I'd like all my books to be clean, please. I put tabs on my books instead of writing on them. I want them to look like I just bought them yesterday. Also, for future selling. I'm not planning to sell my books now, but maybe when I'm older or when I want to give it to my friends. I want them to have the books with the best condition.

I

in your best voice, read for us your favorite first sentence from a book

I'm gonna cheat and read like 4 paragraphs from The Dream Thieves by Maggie Stiefvater.
*Clears Throat*
"A secret is a strange thing. There are 3 kinds of secrets. One is the sort everyone knows about, the sort you need at least two people for. One to keep it. One to never know. The second is a harder kind of secret: one you keep from yourself. Every day, thousands of confessions are kept from their would-be-confessors, none of these people knowing that their never-admitted secrets all boil down to the same three words: I am afraid.

And then there is the third kind of secret, the most hidden kind. A secret no one knows about. Perhaps it was known once, but was taken to the grave. Or maybe it is a useless mystery, arcane and lonely, unfound because no one ever looked for it.

Sometimes, some rare times, a secret stays undiscovered because it is something too big for the mind to hold. It is too strange, too vast, too terrifying to contemplate.

All of us have secrets in our lives. We're keepers or kept from, players or played. Secrets and cockroaches-- that's what will be left at the end of it all."

Okay, that was a long one. I really love the first 4 paragraphs of this book.

does it matter to you whether the author is male or female when you're deciding on  a book? What if you're unsure of the author's gender?

No it doesn't. I've read a lot of books on both sides and it doesn't really matter to me anymore. What's important is the content and their personalities as the author.

E

Ever read ahead? or have you ever read the last page way before you got there?

Only on one book that I've never read. I was in a bookstore and I saw this book, I was pretty sure that I would never read it so I read the last page. But looking back now, I wish I didn't do it. I need to read that book for a 2015 book challenge lol.

organized bookshelves or outrageous bookshelves

Organized. I'm a bit OC (obsessive compulsive) when it comes to books. I want them clean and organized.

under oath: have you ever bought a book based on the cover (alone)

I'm proud to say, that I haven't. I'm a high school student if some of you doesn't know, and I have a small allowance, therefore, I need to choose my books wisely. If I buy a book based on its cover and hated the story, my money would go to waste. Also, I buy books full price since our country doesn't have a lot of 2nd hand bookstores. (And most of the books on a 2nd hand bookstores are adult pocket books)

Take it outside to read or stay in?

Both. Depends on my mood, really.

I hope you guys enjoyed this post and the dancing cat. I'm really sorry if I haven't been posting book reviews, I haven't been reading lately. I will get back in the game soon, I'm saving up for my birthday to buy loads of books!
I'm tagging everyone who watches anime!
